Endowments, Financing and Financial Inclusion in Bangladesh
A two-day national conference bringing together Waqf administrators, Islamic banking practitioners, academics and policymakers to examine how cash Waqf, corporate Waqf and other endowment structures can be mobilised for long-term, sustainable development in Bangladesh.
Day one covers the legal and Shariah framework governing Waqf administration and the state of Waqf estate management nationally. Day two turns to practice: cash Waqf and Waqf-linked Sukuk as financing instruments, digital platforms for Zakat and Waqf collection, and Islamic microfinance and Qard al-Hasan as tools for financial inclusion. Each day closes with a moderated panel of practitioners and regulators.
Open to academics, Shariah scholars, NGO and Waqf-board practitioners, government officials and postgraduate students. Registration includes conference materials, lunch and refreshments on both days, and a certificate of participation.
